Business Operations Analyst 

This professional business analytics position will be responsible for the reporting and analytics necessary to support strategic go-to-market initiatives as well as support and management of system integrations. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record in supporting Sales and Systems, be adept at managing large data sets, and possess a keen attention to detail, alongside a creative problem-solving mindset. This role requires cross-functional collaboration across sales, IT, marketing, and finance departments, with the overarching goal of enabling leadership to make informed, analytically driven decisions. In addition to contributing to strategic planning, sales execution planning, and executive reporting, this position will play a key role in ensuring seamless integration and alignment of systems to support various business decisions and the day-to-day operations of the sales team.

 

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Sales Systems Manager, this role will handle reporting, analytics, and system integration support to facilitate the implementation of corporate, market, or regional initiatives.

The primary responsibility for this position is to provide insights and analytics to support the execution of key initiatives and increase sales productivity by simplifying processes and tools. Assist in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help drive increasing Sales productivity. Assist with annual planning and monthly forecasting processes to support sales leadership team. Analyze performance and productivity data to support coaching/performance management efforts carried out by sales leaders. Understands key metrics to include outside data, year over year performance and run rates in relationship to overall company goals with a bottom-up approach. Works directly with Sales and Systems Operations leadership on business-critical reporting needs Extract data sets and perform analysis to support sales pipeline management, resource coverage, and customer retention efforts on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. Manage, resolve, and route CRM related issues/requests from sales team members. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts (CRM platform) Maintain reports tracking standardized sales process, standardized KPIs, and executive dashboards. Provides insights and data that allows sales leadership to properly allocate resources for all sales roles in the organization. Develop strong working relationships with sales organization, finance, business development, and IT. Collaborate closely with the Sales team to oversee and maintain the functionality and efficiency of sales tools and systems, ensuring they are fully operational and optimized for performance. Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and / or Experience:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or 5 years experience managing and analyzing large data sets, and 2+ years in a sales support business-to-business professional role or 2+years in a professional analytical role

 

Professional Skills:

Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports & deriving insights from data. Strong financial acumen & Demonstrated ability to apply business financial knowledge to support growth and to provide meaningful analytics. Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work with and influence and communicate with a variety of key stakeholders. Ability to learn the use of proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth (experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus) Ability to learn or experience managing additional sales tools (SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to support sales teams.  Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Power BI),  Experience working with Excel & Power BI conducting analysis and reporting of sales data required. Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time. Proactive, self-directed, with the ability to structure a weekly schedule to be successful. Learns quickly when facing new challenges; and is motivated by solving problems.  Flexible; readily accepts change; open to new ideas, and views new experiences as growth opportunities.
