Business Operations Analyst - Credit Bureau

Job Description

The Quality Control Specialist (QCS) will be a critical member of our Quality Control Team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all credit bureau dispute responses and off-cycle update forms. This role requires a deep understanding of credit bureau reporting and the ability to manage workflow efficiently, ensuring timely responses to credit bureaus. The QCS will collaborate closely with various support teams, including validations team, to verify information before it is sent to the bureaus.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough quality control checks on disputes and off-cycle update forms prepared by the CBM team before submission to credit bureaus.

Ensure all responses are compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other relevant regulations.

Analyze disputes to identify potential risks, ensuring all issues are addressed accurately and promptly.

Manage and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines, ensuring timely reporting and responses.

Work closely with support and validation teams to verify and validate information, ensuring all data is accurate and complete.

Address and resolve complex issues that arise during the dispute review process, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Apply knowledge of various systems of record (SORs) such as ALS, LM, Hogan, MSP, RMS, and DM in the review process.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

Typically two or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in credit bureau reporting and dispute resolution.

understanding of credit bureau processes and FCRA compliance.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to analyze complex issues and make informed decisions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with ALS, LM, Hogan, MSP, RMS, and DM is highly preferred.

High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all responses and updates.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $21.88 - $29.13 - $32.04
