The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of project oriented tasks to support the operational needs of Hartford Health Care at Home (HHCAH). The analyst interprets all pertinent clinical and financial data, summarizes issues and examines the market forces to present comprehensive analyses. Comprehensive analyses will include collation and evaluation of data from a variety of sources, drawing conclusions relative to available data, and identifying alternative options and recommendations, prepare financial and quality impact analysis, and prepare final reports. Responsible for overseeing ad hoc analysis in support of various HHC and HHCAH initiatives. Analyze, synthesize, and interpret clinical and financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement. Create models to forecast business variables and develop Ad Hoc analysis for senior management to assess current and historical trends and potential operational impact. Develop and maintain quality dashboards to continually assess provider performance and identify improvement opportunities. Utilizes project management knowledge and skills for assigned projects. Monitor and report project progress to objectives in timeframe, scope, quality, cost, and risk. Works with other areas within HHC such as IT or Decision Support to design systems to allow data to be easy to use and readily accessible. Become an expert in and resource on the use of EPIC, Allscripts, eSolutions, and other relevant clinical and financial information on systems. Represent HHCAH on key data and analytical committees within HHC. Uses knowledge of systems to assist senior management in problem identification resolution options, and decision making to improve department efficiency and functioning. Develop ad hoc analysis in support of HHC and/or HHCAH initiatives. Provides support for Performance Management activities including data analysis, report card development and project management support. *Minimum Qualifications* Education: BA/BS degree in Health Care, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field. Experience Minimum 1-3 years of healthcare or business experience. *Preferred Qualifications* Education Masters in Healthcare Administration or Masters in Business Administration or equivalent preferred Experience Minimum 3-5 years of healthcare or business experience. Minimum 1-3 years of health care informatics or decision support experience. Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:* Strong analytical skills. Proven critical thinking and problem solving abilities including resolving complex (sometimes multi-entity) problems requiring innovative solutions. Extensive experience with spreadsheets and database applications. Ability to create, manipulate and report from various data sources and interpret complex data. Advanced expertise and experience with hospital information systems and reporting tool. Comfortable working with large data sets Advanced Excel and Access ability required Experience developing complex multi-variable operational forecasts and models Demonstrated understanding of project management practices and procedures Excellent presentation skills and group facilitation skills. The ability to work within all levels of the organization, meet deadlines and work under pressure and in sensitive situations. Excellent communication and organizational skills required to manage multiple projects and timelines. Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, QlikView or Tableau highly desired Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functional areas Superior analytic and problem solving skills Customer service focus We take great care of careers.
