Business Operations and Strategy Manager

The BizOps team plays a pivotal role in this mission and solves some of Credit Karma's most important business problems. BizOps leads are embedded within our verticals and collaborate with a cross-functional team to lead strategic initiatives that have a direct impact on our business. We drive operational discipline and clarity on performance to make verticals & Credit Karma successful at achieving our objectives. We are a team of highly-collaborative individuals that strive to enable financial progress for all of our members.

We’re looking for a Manager to partner with the General Manager of one of our verticals.

What you’ll do:

Serve as a thought partner and sounding board to the General Manager to help them drive data-driven decisions Lead strategic projects and operationalize them to move the business forward  Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional Vertical Core Team to enable it to function effectively: Own the forum for discussion of the highest priority topics and for decision-making Develop cross-functional plans that tie together various work-streams & track progress Track and measure performance of key cross-functional initiatives: establish and monitor KPIs and develop operational dashboards  Drive cross-functional clarity on under- and over-performance  Lead strategic planning and provide independent perspective on viability of plans to achieve goals, as well as on resource prioritization and allocation Identify opportunities to leverage the platform, other verticals, strategic partnerships and acquisitions to grow the business Collaborate with the team and leverage data to inform, develop, and iterate on business strategy Manage key communication and materials for the Executive Committee and company leadership

Minimum Basic Requirement:

5+ years of total work experience, 2+ years of which in management consulting, investment banking, business operations, corporate strategy or finance BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred Qualifications: 

Strong analytical chops and ability to problem-solve and understand key drivers of the business Executive presence with the ability to develop  a strong point of view on strategic priorities based on internal and external data Excels in ambiguous environments: an ability to drive complex projects and develop processes with minimal guidance and oversight Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate, present and debate recommendations with all levels of management Proactive and passionate self-starting general athlete with bias towards action and constant prioritization Strong preference for background in management consulting or related field Prior experience in financial services, payments or financial technology  MBA preferred
