Description We are seeking a Business Operations Contractor I to join our team in the Internet Service Provider industry, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily involve supporting our business operations team with various accounting and financial reporting tasks associated with marketing media and advertising.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate invoice reports, purchase order reports and review of monthly financial expenses within the marketing department.
• Act as a key point of contact in the marketing department for all accounting matters.
• Request and track all purchase orders for media brand and marketing expenses within the department.
• Support the operations team and external partners on AR reports, expense tracking, and approvals for fast-paced projects.
• Provide support on key accounting metrics and operational procedures to ensure accuracy in month-end reporting.
• Participate in budget planning sessions with various internal teams to support accurate record keeping.
• Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly internal tracking reports.
• Research invoice purchase order accrual reports, deferred schedules, and forecasts for accurate ledgers.
• Collaborate with the Marcom operations team, finance, and accounting department to align reports and results.
• Lead process improvement and standardization projects by identifying risk areas and recommending improvements.
• Manage projects related to the implementation of new platforms and tools needed for reporting and dashboards.
This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
• 3-5 years of related experience
• General knowledge of Marketing and Advertising expense terms Preferred
• Prior financial analyst/general accounting experience in marketing or advertising environment preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in marketing and brand awareness initiatives
• Familiarity with operations and project management processes
• Knowledge of finance and financial reporting, including invoice processing and expense reporting
• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with process improvement and implementation strategies
• Proven ability to manage and review projects
• Knowledge of Marcom and media strategies
• Familiarity with research analysis techniques
• Experience with purchase orders and month end close procedures
• Ability to manage and report on metrics
• Experience in handling quarterly reports and tasks.
