Business Operations Liaison
Job Description THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY BETWEEN $60,889 - $70,022. The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized childcare vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement, and programs for youth in the community. The Division of Policy, Planning & Measurement (PPM) supports the ACS program divisions with research and data analytics; quality assurance and continuous quality improvement; policy and program development; project management; workforce training and professional development; and contract agency performance monitoring. DPPM collaborates with every ACS division to guide systems analysis and strategic systems improvement; assure quality of practice at ACS and its provider agencies; professionalize the frontline workforce; bring knowledge into practice; provide research and analytic support; and plan and develop new programs and policies Reporting to the Manager of Business Operations for the Division of Policy, Planning, and Measurement, (DPPM), the Business Operations Liaison will play a key role in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner. Having proven experience in human resources, budget, and working in social services, the Personnel and Operations Liaison will perform various duties including but not limited to: Liaise between Offices and Units within the Division and Human Resources to ensure training competencies and evaluation compliance are met; - Critically assess staff, supervisory, and managerial professional development and performance gaps and facilitate learning sessions for personnel within the Division. - Collect and maintain divisional human resources and operations tracking reports and maintain performance metrics identifying key trends through analysis and recommend improvements. - Provide administrative and project management support - Prepare the Deputy Commissioner, Chief of Staff, and Business Operations Manager for meetings including development of statistical data reports on performance measurements and compliance; memoranda, presentations, and similar work-product. - Provide regular updates on current projects by gathering information from Offices and Units, prompting them for any necessary actions and progress. - Provide support with administrative functions within the Office of the Deputy Commissioner. - Identify issues and recommend effective strategies to develop efficiency of operations and provide better customer service. - Liaise with Real Estate and Design Construction Management, and Office of Operations to manage various work sites. - Promote wellness and well-being throughout the division by developing ideas for DPPM Wellness Committee. - Perform any additional tasks as needed. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
