Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Business Operations Specialist supporting the Commercial Business & Program Management (CB&PM) team within the Commercial Training Solutions (CTS) organization. This position will be in Seattle, WA.

CTS provides industry leadership in aerospace performance and enhancing overall operator safety by delivering new evidence-based training programs, new digital solutions, and monitoring aviation safety worldwide. As a Bus Ops Specialist for CB&PM, you will be part of several high performing teams, including Training Initiative (TI) and Global Aerospace Safety (GAS). Our teams are developing and delivering the foundation for CTS’s future learning ecosystem that will modernize learning.   

In this position, you will successfully lead and support the development and execution of CB&PM’s management system, which includes overall strategy, processes, communications, operating rhythm, metrics, quality improvements, integration, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Guides and facilitates the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goalsSupports CB&PM Leader in various executive and team meetings internal/external by ensuring artifacts and agenda required are prepared/approved, meetings are running efficiently, and actions are tracked to completionLeads the analysis, execution, and continuous improvement of the management systemFacilitates effective structured process for top-down and bottom-up data calls with appropriate stakeholders leveraging current process methods and toolsForges a strategic relationship and integrates with domestic and internationally based matrixed leaders to communicate priorities and drive implementation of initiativesInterprets data and creates and presents analysis and recommendations to leadership, including metrics reportingIdentifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business caseWorks to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support decision makers and team membersLeads special projects and ensures coordination, implementation, and execution are successful on behalf of leadershipEnsures follow up action for issue resolutionFosters effective working relationships and is embedded into the business

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite 3-5 days a week at the Seattle, WA site. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higherStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive and marketing communications, using Smart Brevity wherever neededHighly flexible, adaptable, and resilientStrong attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience in interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to leadership5+ years experience in leading projects using Program/Project Management and Agile accepted standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, SAFe, and ISO standards)5+ years experience working in a cross functional environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of aviation training programsExperience with web site development, content creation, and maintenance Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Master’s and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or 14 years work experience.)
