About the Role & TeamProperty Control (PC) is responsible for the appropriate disposition/acquisition of all Domestic TP&R assets removed from service, as well as ensuring the necessary approvals are received and financial entries booked. Handles all interactions with internal partners across WDP&R property as well as DVC, DCL, DATG, DCP, ABD, and D23. Ensure compliance with safe handling practices, internal controls and Property Control Policies.
The Business Operations Sr Associate works in a fast-paced distribution environment receiving, sorting, tracking, and shipping of assets from all aspects of the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts business. This position will learn and perform a variety of positions within the team. The expectation of this position includes, but is not limited to: Operational Support, Forklift Driving, Inventory Control, 3rd Party Vendor Support, Guest Service, and Special Event Operations. The team receives hundreds of assets a day and the expectation is that the processing of assets is done quickly while ensuring appropriate controls.
Minimal supervision required and is self-directed to complete established controls, procedures and policies. Manage and complete multiple tasks concurrently. Increased level of discretion and judgment based on training and established controls and procedures. A minimal portion of their role will require direction from shift managers regarding the day-to-day responsibilities related to the shift. Prioritize and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
The bulk of the Business Operations Sr Associate's role is to receive, handle, and sort assets to maximize financial recovery as well as minimize landfill impact. This role requires decision making against established SOGs. In the process of making these decisions there are numerous tasks and functions assigned to a Sr Associate. Training is given in each function during a specified training period in order for them to successful. Additional training/instruction may be required for some tasks.
The Retail Support function will handle many different tasks in support of our Cast Sales facility and the many events held to provide a unique Disney Difference. Responsibilities may include:
Subject Matter Expert in area of responsibilityOperation of forklifts, pallet jacks and numerous industrial toolsDirect other Cast Members as necessary to accomplish workloadSorting of assets based upon category and perceived sale dateMonitor the staging assets for sale in the PC retail center to ensure good Guest showAssist internal and external guests to resolve issues, with an emphasis on providing world-class guest service.Evaluate and set pricing to maximize return and ensure quick flow of assetsProvide operational support coverage during vacations and ADOThe Receiving Support function will handle many different tasks in support of our Yard Receiving area to accommodate the multiple liquidation channels we have to maximize landfill diversion. Responsibilities may include:
Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks and numerous industrial toolsSubject Matter Expert in area of responsibilityDirect other Cast Members as necessary to accomplish workloadReceiving and verification of support documentation of assets delivered to PC from numerous LOBsCommodity sorting for appropriate handling for recycling outletsSorting of assets for appropriate disposition channels based on established guidelinesManagement of inventory movement based on disposition channelsRigorous labor moving assets sometimes weighing more than 800lbsCapital and branded asset identification and taggingDocumenting assets and props with photos, location, measurementsMaintaining ongoing system of record for all themed and branded props and assets and assist in accountability and reduce risk of theft/loss of company assetsAdditional duties may include:
Assist with attraction rehabs and Heritage Program installationsSupport FAIC/BAM with conducting audits and updating documentation at the direction of leadershipRequired Education: High School Diploma Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
