Our team is seeking to add a Business Planner. We are growth strategists who enable the Microsoft mission by creating durable profit growth through high-impact monetization strategies, packaging, and pricing. We are looking for a business planning leader to develop business strategies, compelling monetization approaches, and effective packaging and pricing approaches to capture mindshare and create profitable growth. Your role will focus on the end-to-end execution of Azure global growth strategies, starting with regional pricing determination and launch execution, yield management and revenue optimization. This work will build on and connect to the broader Azure product strategic initiatives while managing regional portfolio. You will collaborate deeply with Microsoft engineering, marketing, finance and sales teams to deliver growth for the business. You will uphold the highest standards of ethics, privacy, and trustworthiness in your work. Come join this team and hundreds of colleagues across the world as the newest members of the Microsoft Communications organization! **Responsibilities** + Drive monetization strategy and new business models for Microsoft Azure regions. + Implement and optimize competitive business models and pricing. + Create promotional offers to create sales opportunities and facilitate competitive wins. + Develop market and customer insights to formulate business model recommendations. + Identify pricing and licensing optimization opportunities by interacting closely with partners, sellers, and customers. + Create business model proposals, present them to senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment. + Collaborate with pricing operations to implement business models and pricing. + Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture within your team and at Microsoft. + Embody our culture and values . **Qualifications** **Required/Minimum Qualifications** + 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience + OR equivalent experience. + 3+ years of analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to drive data-driven decisions. + 3+ years of demonstrated effective business judgement leveraging strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence. + 3+ years of communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects. + 3+ years of experience working across diverse stakeholders to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence. **Additional or Preferred Qualifications** + 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field + OR 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field + OR equivalent experience. Business Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
