Business Process Analyst, Transport & Logistics Control Tower
Position Summary

The role of the Business Process Analyst is to analyse the business processes within the Control Tower in Teleflex. This role will capture the processes and integrations for all shipments and transport modes (Air, Ocean, Road, Parcel, Inter-modal) ensuring accurate and consistent record management in line with Teleflex business and financial coding rules. This role is also responsible for identifying noise in the process or areas for improvement with thorough capture of the events associated with the AS IS state supporting the Control Tower Team’s journey to operational excellence. The Business Process Analyst/Engineer will interpret transport data, review key performance indicators/analytics, that measure region, carrier, mode & lane trends with results communicated to the broader Global Transport team.

Principal Responsibilities

Review business processes related to Transport shipments for all modes from all origin/destinations within the scope of the Transport Control Tower.
Review business processes related to Transport rate calculations and financial coding ensuring spend is accurate per Carrier rate agreements and allocated to the correct General Ledger and Cost.
Review all processes with a focus on the wider business impacts with particular focus on data accuracy.
Review business processes related to the production of Key Performance Indicators from CT to Transport Managers, that measures carrier, Region and lane performance for ad-hoc, monthly & quarterly business reviews.
Analyze current TMS processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop & implement process optimization strategies and monitor/evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
Review business processes related to Processing deliveries & shipments into Teleflex’s TMS system ensuring accurate transport cost estimation.
Create, update, and improve comprehensive process and technical documentation. Ensure documentation is accessible and understandable for all relevant parties
Identify noise in the process and clearly map the occurrence of such event using FMEA or another suitable approach.
Develop and maintain data and process governance strategies and KPIs.
Capture an accurate view of the AS IS state of the process using process mapping and descriptive process capture tools.
Communicate directly with Freight Suppliers on the AS IS and required future state process with the level of detail required to enable change.
Review the reconciliation processes within the TMS related Supplier’s statements, Transport Management system reports and SAP where required.
Support Control Tower project team(s) for continuous improvement & preventative action activities.
Attend daily Control Tower team virtual video calls & Teleflex Athlone on-site meetings.

Education / Experience Requirements

Knowledge in Supply Chain is required.
Global Transport knowledge required.
Experience using Lean methodologies, Business excellence facilitation, Continuous improvement(CI), Business process improvement(BPI), Business Process re-engineering(BPR).
Have an understanding of: PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Value Stream Mapping, 5S Audit, SIPOC Diagram.
High competency on Windows, Visio, MS Excel, MS word, Lean approach (DMAIC preferred).
