Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.
If a candidate has a Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108months of experience specific to the job. The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.
Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.
If no degree, work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.
Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
Business Process Analyst - IT3
The selected candidate will provide support to the Social Security Administration in the areas of analysis, design, and technical documentation of Web applications under the direction of the Project Management. They will frequently apply their prior extensive experience in Systems analysis, Systems design, UML based design for web applications and Web Services. The selected candidate will be held accountable for major projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, systems design and related documentation. Works out the details of functional and design requirements, systems design, programming specifications, data elements, data validation specifications, data capture mechanisms, and data conversion procedures through discussions with government staff and contractors. Translates the functional requirements into systems designs suitable for development of appropriate computer programs. Makes presentations of findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and in oral presentations. Consults with SSA staff and with counterparts to assure understanding of task objectives, identifies problems and suggests improvements.

Skills Requirements:
-Working experience of SharePoint.
-Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.
-Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases.
-Strong experience in defining systems and Web application requirements.
-Knowledge of .Net development platform.
-Database experience such as Oracle OR DB2, OR SQL Server/SQL or JDBC.
-Familiarity with project management frameworks.
-Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies
