Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Are you someone with experience in consulting who wants to work at the intersection of strategy and operations? In this role, you will research best practices within and outside the organization to understand new and emerging trends. You will collect and analyze process data and recommend ways to increase efficiency, including how new information technology can support reengineering business operations and processes. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of initiatives, including generating business cases and prioritizing work based on key metrics such as ROI. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams, including the change and training teams, to implement and scale solutions nationwide.

Primary Duties / Key Responsibilities:

Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to solve business problems and provide strategic recommendations

Collect, clean, and interpret data from various sources to identify key trends and insights

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical frameworks

Leads cross-functional projects design to reengineer and improve efficiency across complex business operations

Create presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership

Build and sustain relationships with corporate stakeholders, operations, auctions, and regional teams

Analyze feedback, process times and other information to determine roadblocks and possible solutions

Gain buy-in from stakeholders on design and direction of strategic projects

Assist in design, implementation and tracking of metrics to indicate project impact

Partners with functional and operation leaders to ensure an integrated and effective deployment and adoption of business improvement initiatives.

Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives

Promote change management, project adoption, SOP practices, and continuous improvement culture across operating units.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field 

5+ years of relevant operational excellence experience at the auction level or equivalent

Experience in process improvement design

Experience with business support software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required

Possess an understanding of the automotive industry, i.e., industry structures, key players, competitive dynamics, technological underpinnings

Possess ability to develop and present high-level presentations to Corporate and Auction Management

Possess ability to manage groups across a nationwide geographic basis

Ability to work & contribute given broad direction

Display a positive and professional image

Ability to lead through influence and negotiation

Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

Demonstrated bias for action and results

Ability to handle stress and multiple priorities

Good analytical skills and aptitude

Must be able to proactively identify and resolve issues through analysis with proven results
