Business Process Engineer

Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs. Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph Collaborates with the Government to assess current operations and business processes through the examination of organization's mission, strategic goals, and customer needs which begins at the strategic level and progresses down through the stakeholder organization. Facilitates Business Process Reengineering (BPR) efforts and engages stakeholder organizations to fully define the processes, business rules, and relationships that drive operations. The Level 2 Business Process Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: + Make recommendations for standard operating procedures (SOP) across multiple organizations throughout the Government enterprise. + Apply process improvement and engineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization of projects. + Document configuration requirements, business rules, functional and system requirements. + Leverage industry best practices to plan, organize, and guide complex programs using COTS tools. + Enables transitioning of existing project teams and the facilitation of project teams in the accomplishment of project activities and objectives. + Perform activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements. + Coordinate between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts. + Assists in defining and documenting a capability delivery roadmap that defines the functionality details and sequence from the Initial Operating Capability (IOC) to Final Operating Capability (FOC) sequence. + Participates with the integrated product team (IPT) and other stakeholders to establish trade-off criteria, process gap analysis, and document potential solutions that maximize the use of existing COTS tool functionality + Assists in defining and documenting configuration requirements, business rules, functional and system requirements. Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: + A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or business discipline from an accredited college or university and 7 years experience conducting BPR activities is required. Five (5) years experience utilizing Process Improvement methodologies (e.g. Agile technologies, Six Sigma) for GOT integration programs is required. + In-depth knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework) - RMF provides a structured yet flexible approach for determining the appropriate level of risk mitigation needed to protect information systems, information, and infrastructure from serious treats. + Define, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures to meet business objectives. + Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvements. + Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements. + Ensure in compliance with customer and company proposed standards. + Work with customer and developers in integration of new and existing business processes. + Use best practices to carry out business process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities. + Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks. + Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements. + Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs. + Execute projects for ongoing business improvements. + Provide technical advice on processing technology, capability, risks, and costs.
