The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! You’ll dive into real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience while learning how business really works from the inside. During the program, you’ll get to roll up your sleeves and make an impact on day-to-day operations. Plus, you'll have tons of opportunities to network with passionate professionals across manufacturing, industrial engineering, and more—sparking new ideas through cross-department collaboration. It’s all about expanding your skills, challenging yourself, and exploring where your ambitions can take you!

What You'll Do

As a member of the Customer Solutions Team, the Business Process Intern will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience by improving workflows, automating processes, and generating data intelligence reports. During the internship, you will gain exposure to workflow automation, data intelligence reporting, and sales/warranty analytics.

Workflow Automation: Assist in automating business processes to improve efficiency, focusing on streamlining repetitive tasks using Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

Sales & Warranty Analytics: Analyze sales and warranty data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for process improvements.

Data Intelligence Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to support data-driven decision-making, focusing on key performance metrics and operational efficiency.

Process Mapping: Document existing workflows and suggest optimizations to boost productivity and reduce inefficiencies.

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (IT, Sales, Warranty, Operations) to implement automation solutions and process improvements.

Reporting & Presentation: Create reports and presentations summarizing analytics, automation progress, and process recommendations.

Get in Front of Leadership – summarize and present what you have learned during your internship to the leadership team.

Who You Are

Current student (rising junior or senior) actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.

Experience with data analysis, workflow automation tools, and RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and a strong team player.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS excel preferred). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

*WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed both in office and on manufacturing floor. 

Noise level is minimal with intervals of spikes.

Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the shop floor.
