Job Description:

At Regions, the Business Process Management Design Consultant is part of the Enterprise Business Process Management team with a focus on building out business process documentation, analysis, process improvement, and driving understanding of true business process ownership. This team is establishing Business Process Management governance, reporting, standards as well as ensuring that key high priority processes are prioritized for mapping with appropriate components identified and Risk Management Foundational Elements included.

Primary Responsibilities

Acts as a strategic consultant in designing target state processes across the enterpriseDrives completion of quality work from a cross functional team of stakeholders that are outside of the direct management and that are balancing competing prioritiesPartners with business subject matter experts to perform current state assessments and completion of high priority assigned current state process mapsDrives awareness of backlog opportunities to enable onboarding to target state enhancements, improvement opportunitiesChallenges and questions stakeholders to generate the right level of understanding and details of current state business processesConceptualizes, applies, analyzes, and evaluates information gathered as a guide to actionLeads projects to design or redesign business processes and produce updated process mapsPresents options and recommendations for solutions to business leaders and builds action plans to drive executionInteracts with and manages progress of process mapping with key program stakeholders across the business leadership, process owners, process subject matter experts, 1st and 2nd Line of Defense Risk Management, as well as TechnologyEnsures governance expectations with Operational Excellence and Business Process Management are adhered toMaintains reporting standards for Business Process ProgramTracks progress of committed and prioritized mapping efforts along with appropriate escalations where applicablePresents outputs, learnings, successes, and findings to senior leadershipUtilizes expertise to identify risks associated with business processes and ensure that risks, controls, and other applicable foundational elements are identified in the process documentation effortsMay lead development and hosting of training around enterprise business process management expectationsTakes ownership of large projects and/or functions, delegating work as necessary to business process management engineersMonitors the industry for anticipated changes that could affect processes or compliance with internal policies, guidelines, and regulationsActs as a subject matter expert (SME)Assists senior management in evaluating the teams’ technical skills and knowledge and determining how to address gaps

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.  

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience with process mapping, process management or related with emphasis on business process modeling, analysis, compliance, and/or risk managementOr High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of experience with process mapping, process management with emphasis on business process modeling, analysis, compliance, and/or risk managementConsulting, project management, or process design experienceExperience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six SigmaFinancial services experience or other relevant corporate experienceKnowledge of risk management frameworks and control frameworks

Preferences

Experience implementing and managing BPM technology solutions

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.  The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.  Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.  This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL.  Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:

$159,840.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
