Business Process Specialist - Defense Travel Administrator

Responsibilities: • Executes activities as a Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) • Reviews, interprets, coordinates, and responds to Audit Readiness issues and solutions • Fulfills the duties associated in the conduct of the Defense Travel System (DTS) requests (ODTA level) in support of Army staff operations • Resolves customer service issues for DTS to include Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) related questions • Coordinates and tracks trouble tickets, refer appropriate issues to Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), Tier Three Level Help Desk roles and Travel Assistance Center (TAC), in order to resolve customer issues that cannot be handled at the local level • Verifies the DTS user permission levels, provide an appropriate separation of duties and manage the organization’s DTS training program as defined in DoDI 5154.31 Vol. 3 • Provides support to incoming and outgoing personnel in Government Travel Card (GTC) Program, process GTC credit applications, create/modify GTC user profiles within CitiDirect, maintain GTC database, conduct monthly GTC review, prepare draft monthly GTC reports, assist in Inspection preparations of GTC program • Disseminates new guidance via e-mail and/or G-2 intranet portal pertaining to DTS • Attends conferences or meetings related to DTS and provide DAMI-RI with any updates that impact to DCS, G-2. Requirements: • Possess a DTA certification from DTMO within 2 years. • Shall have a minimum of one year of DTS Local Level Service Help Desk experience, to include ODTA support; ability to prepare and/or review DTS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and provide relevant recommendations for improving established processes; Possess good oral and written communication skills.
