About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. Responsibilities Determine analytical methods to be used in preparation of data, strategies for presentation of resource management recommendations. Perform analysis of operations and development of key performance indicators such as Schedule Conformance, and Direct Labor Hour metrics. Serve as a key advisor and primary liaison, directing or coordinating the activities of other key project members engaged in analyses and studies of production problems. Analyze complex maintenance production processes and functions, work processes and workloads pertaining to aviation depot maintenance. Complete projects, evaluations, reports, or recommendations are reviewed by the supervisor for compatibility with organizational goals, guidelines, and effectiveness in achieving intended objectives. Evaluate program goals, work operations and managerial channels of organizations involved in Maintenance Management Information Systems Analysis. Specialize Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Prevent or alleviate production delays, scheduling conflicts, the lack of sufficient materials, faulty processes, labor shortages, or skilled trade imbalances. Practical knowledge of all the production methods and procedures, machines, and materials. Formulate an effective production control program, assessing the effectiveness of production programs, and investigating or analyzing a variety of unusual production problems and conditions. Apply a variety of methods to investigate, analyze, plan, and implement corrective action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Data Collection and Analysis Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
