Job Summary

This position will be responsible for business quality program execution in the field.  Key business partners will be business quality leadership, Field QA, R&D, and manufacturing facility teams.  The role will support field execution of commercialization processes, enabler implementation, BQA program implementation, as well as facility level implementation of product quality standards.  The role will also be responsible for facility level consumer trends and insights, and support consumer complaints, complaint reduction charters, as well as sales / customer / consumer inquiries.  The role will support the development and implementation of product quality standards and product evaluation processes.

Principal Accountabilities

1)  Support new product commercialization, quality improvement projects, and enabler programs through execution, data collection and analysis, and product evaluation in the field.

2)  Support analysis of category level consumer trends and data, consumer complaints, sales inquiries, product evaluations through partnership with field quality and facility leadership team engagement.

3)  Business quality team point of contact for field execution, including data collection and analysis, product quality specification and procedure development, field and facility team training, facility level commercialization and enabler exeuction.

4)  Provide insight and support in the development, implementation, and on-going tracking of key quality KPIs.

5)  Provide direction and support to business quality team.

Job Complexity

Support innovation through execution at the field level (feasibility through launch) ensuring food safety and quality is designed into the process.

Support critical category product quality charters focused on complaint reduction, capability improvements, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.

Facility investigation and communication to key stakeholders on overall category quality performance, charter progress, issue resolution, and key performance indicators.

Facilitate customer engagement as necessary in support of issue / inquiry resolution.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree required

3+ years of experience within the food industry, food science, product development, quality, or product processing industry.

3-5 years in food industry or relevant industry experience

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Food Science or Natural Science5+ years of product development experience within food science or food industry

Expert abilities and decision making for Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality challenges.

Strong knowledge of Product processing.

Capable of influencing development steps used in the Innovation and Commercialization process to leverage design in achieving consumer safety and quality objectives (example; Food Safety Plan Assessment), drives improvement of consumer-based specification

Knowledge of Quality Standards, Systems, and Quality Policies, with skills and ability to execute against requirements.

Strong knowledge and general business acumen to support and influence Marketing and R&D.

Capable of engaging other businesses unit quality in development and standardization of; Quality manuals, policies, procedures, and data templates, audit standards and procedures, and Quality Key Performance Indicators.

Knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control programs, Design of Experiment and Process capability studies


Working Conditions

50-60% Travel

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$85,900-$140,800

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
