Business Rates Administrator - Birmingham

Cushman & Wakefield are looking for a Business Rates Administrator to provide administrative assistance in the operational management of multiple client portfolios under guidance from senior colleagues in addition to maintaining and developing our internal IT systems.

Responsibilities Include:

Data maintenance – (occupier and landlord clients) – accurate maintenance of all data including liability change dates, new properties, disposals, allowances, appeal settlements, savings, refunds (including allocations), debt management.Obtaining information from clients and responding to client and billing authority queries.Manage mail (demands, BID’s, Council Tax, Reminders, etc) – post and email.Deal or escalate liability queries.Request and process audit refunds.Download billing authority data sets to enable audit.Monitoring RV and other changes using RatesData and Realise reports.  Generate variance reports and send to appropriate Account Teams.Undertake projects when required.

A professional and flexible approach.Attention to detail – maintaining data accuracy key part of role.Good interpersonal skills.Good numeracy skills.Good organisation and communication skills.Must be able to work accurately and using own initiative.IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet) and mail-mergers.
