The Business Risk and Controls Analyst focuses on determining the reliability and effectiveness of internal financial controls across the company. Under general supervision, this job is responsible for testing financial records, processes and systems, auditing the recording of transactions and preparing reports of findings and recommendations for management.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesMonitors, evaluates, and tests financial records, processes, and systems.\nAudits recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies.\nPrepares reports of findings and recommendations to management.\nSupports cross-functional implementation of compliance programs including analysis of transaction-level risks in operational areas.\nDrafts documentation of business processes, risks and controls.\nAnalyzes policies and procedures currently in place within the organization to identify gaps and weaknesses.\nCommunicates new or revised policies, procedures, processes and related documents to appropriate team members and/or business units.Educational RequirementsUniversity (Degree) PreferredWork Experience2 Years Required; 3 Years PreferredPhysical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience in Financial Operations and Service background
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of related audit, regulatory and corporate policy requirements and specific processes within the Financial Services Industry.
Requires key functional knowledge including Retirement & Individual Services experience, Control development/testing, Risk Management, Financial Regulatory Compliance and/or Project management
Strong discipline in quality standards
Experience with Retirement & Individual Services applications (OMNI suite, Unified Desktop)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, leadership and problem solving skills
Process improvement focused and solution driven
Knowledge of retirement products and/or financial services
Build strong and collaborative relationships with peers, business partners and RIS management

In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
