Business / Sales Manager - Paints and Coating Raw Materials
Minimum requirements for the role:
A minimum matric is essential for this role. A tertiary qualification or SAPMA modules or related is preferred but not essential. Previous technical and commercial experience promoting coatings raw materials having worked within the paints / coatings and construction manufacturing industries is essential for the role. Previous experience working in a management role leading a team is preferred. A good understanding of pricing structures and managing net working capital would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing a team of Product Managers and Key Account Managers promoting paint / coatings and construction chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industries, ensuring that sales volumes and the profitability of the division at national level is achieved. Managing and developing all sales activities of the sales team across the consumer division. Supporting and managing relationships with key customers and overseas principals. Managing sales pricing and margins effectively. Assisting the sales team with technical briefs and new product development. Working with technical team to assist in product development initiatives and customer product support.’ Preparing sales budgets annually as required. Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for your selected product portfolio. Managing, overseeing and ensuring that budgets are met monthly and that forecasting is accurate for 3 year view. Managing and overseeing relationships between finance, warehouse, customer care and sales team. Keeping abreast of pricing trends, availability and opportunities to be communicated weekly. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
