The position will be responsible for reviewing and creating annual contract and sole sources purchasing requisitions for both operating and capital based on service request and work orders from internal staff of the facilities, submit accurate invoices electronically for processing and modifying purchase requisitions. All purchasing requisitions must follow Gwinnett County Purchasing Ordinance and Department of Water Resources guidelines and procedures. This position will be located either in Lawrenceville or Buford. Essential Duties: + Perform data entry of information contained on purchase requests, capital service requests, work orders, invoices, and/or other related financial documents. + Process and review a variety of transactions involving purchase orders, invoices, accounts payable, contracts, and/or other related information while monitoring compliance with established Department of Water Resources guidelines and procedures. + Review proposals and quotes from suppliers ensure all guidelines and procedures are adhered to. + Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and/or other interested parties purchase order status, and/or other related information. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + SAP or ERP system background + Strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, initiative, and ability to effectively work both independently and as a member of a team. + Review work for accuracy, completion, providing any necessary feedback. + Serve as a liaison for the Department of Water Resources-Finance Division to ensure compliance with County purchasing ordinances. + Communicate with other County Departments and outside suppliers. + Research, interpret, update, and maintain a variety of records, databases, reports, and logs The Grade for this position is B231. This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval. Minimum Requirements: + Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field + Four years of progressively responsible experience in the area of assignment; + or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
