Join our innovative, world-class team today! **Position Specific Description** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating strategic initiative budgeting, tracking performance of strategic initiatives, financial valuation of special projects, leading Velocity, and owning key executive reporting deliverables. **Key Responsibilities:** + Coordinate budgeting of strategic initiatives for Wind, Solar, and Storage. + Collaborate with various departments to gather operational inputs relevant to the projections. + Develop and implement performance tracking metrics for strategic initiatives. + Monitor progress and performance against established goals. + Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on initiative performance. + Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and valuation of special projects. + Lead annual Velocity process and report on progress of idea implementation. + Coordinate preparation of the key executive decks such as MOPR, Total Cost, PCY, and other special requests. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of all executive reporting. + Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. + 8 years of experience in business services, financial analysis, or a similar role. + Proven experience in budgeting, financial modeling, and project management. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and presentation skills. + Proficiency in SAP/BOBJ reporting. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. + Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience leading cross-functional teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field. + Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar. + Experience in the energy sector. + Proven experience in people management and team development. **Job Overview** This position oversees a team of business services analysts and leaders responsible for the Power Generation budget and business processes. Leaders in this role manage the business unit's budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement functions. The team provides analytical support to the business unit, cost and performance analysis, and analysis and reporting of the business unit financial and operating results. Employees in this job also act in a lead role in projects such as regulatory support, storm support, and emergency response. **Job Duties & Responsibilities** • Performs all cost accounting activities including variance analysis, standard cost development, activity-based costing, and inventory control • Ensures all activities of the team are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliant • Provides financial leadership by supporting Operations leadership in decision-making and strategy development • Supports new lines of business and finds ways to reduce overhead cost per job • Provides reporting and analysis for all operations activity including productivity, capital and overhead spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and inventory and operations planning • Prepares and distributes financial reports and indicators and explains financial results to non-financial audiences • Communicates and explains operational performance through P and L • Collaborates effectively with colleagues from all departments • Leads and executes process improvement projects using Six Sigma principles • Manages internal controls processes and identifies and mitigates control weaknesses • Extracts, organizes, analyzes, and reports data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions • Develops broad technical and communication skills through self-study and internal and external training opportunities • Performs other job-related duties as assigned **Required Qualifications** • Analytical Problem Solving • Statistical/Advanced Quality Methods • High School Grad / GED • Financial Planning • Safety Policy and Practice • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience • Experience:5+ years • Supervisor/Management Experience:5+ years **Preferred Qualifications** • None NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
