What You’ll Be Doing

The Process & Change Management (P&CM) team is responsible for facilitating the implementation of operational changes that impact Retail Mortgage Services (RMS). The Business Specialist is accountable for providing in-depth advice/consultation typically of an operational or tactical nature, to management, business partners, and team members, within an area of specialization. In this position you will provide business identification and consultative support relative to the development, analysis and identification of process changes and/or system enhancements. You will also proactively analyze and recommend enhancements to the existing business processes; clearly communicate rationale and negotiate solutions which will enhance operational effectiveness. Ensure that all assigned initiatives are implemented in an effective manner within area of responsibility. May lead projects related to the development and implementation of new and revised policies, procedures and standards. Provide technical guidance and professional advice to more junior team members.

How You’ll Succeed

Analytical skills and a process improvement mindset - You have a background in understanding operational processes, ideally related to mortgage and lending products. You also have a continuous improvement mindset and proven record of adding value by finding efficiencies in current processes and procedures, consequently enhancing the performance of operations teams by actively/proactively participating in project activities. Business Analysis and client operations processing experience - You have experience with requirements gathering, designing or modifying processes, managing the change and implementation as well as working with a wide variety of business partners. You will be part of organizing and leading the implementation of operational changes. To be successful, it may be of value if you have an operational processing background to have a good understanding of mortgage and lending processes, systems and applications. Building relationships and strong communication skills - You are proud of your excellent verbal and written communication skills and how you excel at developing relationships with internal and external business partners. You are not afraid to develop and recommend client focused solutions to routine and non-routine operational problems. You welcome the opportunity to represent your area of specialization and provide input into the development and implementation of projects.
