The Company

A global engineering consultancy is looking to expand their capability in the mining resources sector. As a result, we are looking for a very experienced leader to take on this challenge helping them achieve this growth in Queensland.

 

The Role

The Business State Leader will be responsible for the operations in Queensland and build a pipeline of work leveraging on the existing capabilities. You will forge new and grow existing clients to expand this capability and grow the business.

You will be working in the Brisbane office.

This role is open to Brisbane based candidates or candidates looking to move there.

 

Your Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the assigned state. Identify new business opportunities and expand market share. Set and achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Provide technical expertise and solutions to meet customer needs. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements. Ensure efficient day-to-day operations across all business units in the state. Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control measures. Ensure business operations comply with state regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to legal, financial, and operational aspects. Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and public forums.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field. Substantial leadership in mining resources engineering business development and sales. Proven ability to drive growth and generate new revenue. Holds strong networks in Queensland. Brisbane based preferably. Possess Full Australian Work Rights.
