This Business Support Professional (BSP) will provide administrative support to the Data Engineering Group within the Strategic Energy Analysis Center (SEAC) at NREL. The Business Support Professional is responsible for executing moderately complex administrative functions with minimal oversight, providing timely, accurate, and effective administrative support for the programmatic, business, and operational functions of the group. The position necessitates strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple demands, and the ability and desire to work across SEAC and across NREL. SEAC conducts credible, objective analysis, develops tools, and builds data resources that inform our transition to a secure, clean, and affordable energy future. SEAC comprises eight groups supported by a team of BSPs. This position directly supports the Data Engineering Group Manager and a multidisciplinary team of data and software engineers, data scientists, and product developers that are at the forefront of developing advanced data solutions for strategic energy analysis at scale. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Supporting day-to-day activities for the Data Engineering Group Manager, task leaders, and group engineers and scientists. + Proactively managing and/or monitoring multiple tasks and information for people, including calendars, meeting and workshop logistics, travel requirements, visitors/vendors, records, training requirements, and the distribution and flow of information. + Creating and managing team communications, including preparing monthly meeting slide decks, posting updates on Teams, sending timecard reminders, and drafting outgoing messages. + Acting as a resource to staff on institutional processes, procedures, and requirements, and providing input and recommendations on organization-specific administrative practices. + Working cooperatively with other administrative staff on group tasks, activities, and events. + Navigating an office environment where there are frequent interruptions and shifting priorities, demonstrating an ability to follow through and accomplish tasks on time. + Taking initiative and working proactively in non-routine situations. + Supporting onboarding and offboarding of employees and interns and obtaining site access for subcontractors, stakeholders, and visitors. + Coordinating interview logistics for potential new hires in coordination with HR recruiting associates. + Interfacing effectively with the SEAC leadership team, clients, and partners. + Preparing for and managing logistics for meetings and special events, including event planning and coordination of large-scale multi-day events with external participants (agenda development, speaker coordination, transportation planning, registration, audiovisual, and catering services). + Following all NREL policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with DOE orders and NREL requirements. + Performing additional duties as requested. _Note: This position is hiring for a Hybrid work arrangement based in Colorado, that requires regular (50% or more of days in an average work week) in-person work at NREL's South Table Mountain, and is not eligible for fully remote work arrangements._ . **Basic Qualifications** Business Support III Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
