Business Support Officer
Job Description

My public sector client is looking for a Business Support Officer to provide support within their Legal Services Directorate, where the successful candidate will play an integral part in assisting the organisations directorate (including Director and Assistant Directors) to manage their time and work effectively, so that they can focus on their priorities. This is a potential 6 month temporary assignment Monday to Friday paying £12.62 p/hr, full time 37.00 hours a week, 9.00am to 5.00pm and this role will be a hybrid role, with three days on site and two working from home.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for the below tasks-

Diary management - actively the Senior Management Team's appointments, sending meeting invites, chasing responses and accepting/declining invites as appropriate. Working closely with the SMT to ensure their diaries are aligned with key prioritiesProducing briefing notes and drafting presentations for the SMT to use when attending a range of senior leader meetingsProviding ad-hoc administrative support as required e.g. co-ordination of meetings, taking minutes, production of correspondence and distribution etcTravel - arranging and booking travel/accommodation for the SMT and their team as requiredMaking all appropriate arrangements for attendance at offices, including desk booking and room bookings for meetingsForming an effective working relationship with the administrative teams and EAs of other senior staff - ensuring appropriate channels of communications with the DirectorWorking alongside the Business Support Team, in particular working closely with the Director's Executive Assistant and supporting wider functions within the teamAnalysing and updating Management Information, liaising and supporting the wider team for missing data

You should have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work flexibly, effectively and across teams. The ability to work as a team player managing dynamics inclusively when working across team, departmental and other boundaries. Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines. A willingness to adapt to change and promote the positive benefits of a culture of continuous improvement. A confident, self-motivated, positive self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and with proven experience in administration matters. The ability to remain calm and reliable under pressure to manage a range of sensitive and high-profile matters on behalf of the Assistant Directors. Excellent attention to detail and committed to giving a high-quality performance in all aspects of the job.

You should also be willing to complete regular travel between our London, Birmingham and Manchester offices to support the Senior Management Team where required
