BWXT’s Advanced Technologies (AT) group researches, designs, and develops innovative new nuclear reactors, nuclear rocket propulsion systems, and radioisotope production systems for both internal and external customers. The Business Support Specialist role is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of business operations. This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as meeting facilitation, internal communications, process documentation, best practice advocacy, and supporting operational initiatives. The position will be located in the Lynchburg, VA Advanced Technologies office. **Job Description / Duties:** + Collaborate with and support program management teams and organizational leadership. + Collaborate with accounting, government compliance, financial planning, and functional teams. + Perform and support program financial forecasting for bookings, sales, and earnings. + Support Program Scheduling, Program Financial Analysis, and Management Support Solutions teams. + Review cost estimates for proposal efforts, ensuring that proposals are financially sound, and risks are understood, and margins are achievable. + Participate in projects to provide standardization and process improvements to existing project financial processes and reporting. + Assist with coordination and monitoring of initiatives. + Prepare standard operating procedures, user guides, and best practice manuals in support new and existing operations. + Perform various analytical functions, including analyzing data sets for trends, correlations and abnormalities and provide actionable insights. + Interpret and implements administrative guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices. + Manage travel planning, calender, conference room reservations, and expense reimbursement for AT leadership. + Lead and support event planning and visitor-facilitation for customers, guests, and VIP stakeholders that supports the BWXT and AT brand. + Manage employee communications and experiences that fosters AT’s culture. (All-hands, e-publications, etc…). + Support special projects within the AT organization such as review boards, planning, and stakeholder coordination. + Perform business documentation management and writing (draft email, letters, reports, etc…). + Administer floor space assignments/management across all AT sites. + Manage kitchen and office supply inventory and facility maintenance coordination. + Perform other administrative support as assigned. **Job Qualifications / Requirements:** + A Bachelor's degree is required. Preference given to degrees in Business Administration, Program Management, Finance or Accounting. + Must have at least two (2) years of related experience. + Must possess demonstrable superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing skills. + Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word. + Must be a U.S. citizen. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and/or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required. Pay: $[[cust_salaryMin]] - $[[cust_salaryMax]] The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[cust_salaryMin]] and $[[cust_salaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
