Business Support Specialist II - Discretionary Trading
Team Overview:

The Discretionary Trading area is responsible for trading controls and exception oversight for the firm's Advisory Solutions Fund/UMA and Guided Solutions Fund programs. The primary area functions support rebalancing, client-initiated and program level allocation and model changes, trade completeness and algorithm controls, and tax loss harvesting enrollment and oversight. This is a fast-paced environment where you will also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic firm initiatives. 
This role will be responsible for supporting teams across the area including Model Management, Model Trading Oversight, Discretionary Aggregate Trading, and Home Office Systematic Trading.  The associate will be expected to shift immediate responsibilities according to business needs impacted by projects, production issues, core work, and seasonal volumes. 

What You'll Do:Develop expertise in the core and critical functions within the area, including a deep understanding of both why and how the work is performed and the full upstream and downstream impacts of the area's work across various key stakeholders.  Work must be completed timely and accurately and in consideration of the impact on the branch/client, department, division, and firm.  Periodically, work outside of normal business hours will be required.  Analyze exception and control reports, using sound decision making and demonstrating the ability to accurately identify action needed/issues, utilize resources, communicate/escalate, and resolve situations as appropriate.  Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, abandonment, and risk mitigation and implement solutions.Plan and execute projects, enhancements and processes, including the launch of new products or product partners, enhancements to existing tools and systems.  This includes testing, tracking of issues, and implementation of solutions.Communicate and collaborate effectively with the team, home office leaders, branch teams, and across stakeholder areas to resolve issues, facilitate escalations, answer questions, build relationships, and carry out responsibilities.Ability to work outside normal business hours
