Business/System Analyst, AVP, Hybrid

Who we are looking for.

We are looking for a user/client facing role as Business/System Analyst in Securities Finance division of Global Markets, who desire to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment on business demand analysis and solution design with IT development team from brainstorming, prototyping, development, testing along to production.

This role requires solid financial knowledge (in Securities Finance), strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and good time management. 

This role is based in Boston, MA, USA and will work with State Street business users from all regions.

The function of this role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As a Business/Systems Analyst you will

Work with internal business users and external clients to gather and understand user demands.Analyze and explore business workflow and business scenarios; review and evaluate existing business model and future process or solution.Accomplish relevant artifacts as applicable for the BA role (e.g., creating functional specifications, user stories, wireframe model/data mapping, user guide, creating use case examples, flow charts for the functional flow, system/application interface flows…. etc.) to accurately capture user and system requirements.Identify, solve, or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles.Collaborate with other roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality.Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties.Organize and drive meetings. Participate in agile development team as the Product Owner/Business Analyst role.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

5-8 years’ experience of analyst role, driving software development projects/agile rooms, financial or data research industryMajor in Financial or IT related, or bothFluent verbal & written English communication and strong interpersonal skillsGood understanding of software developmentProfound knowledge of financial products.Strong analytical and problem solving skillsTeam player, meticulous and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision.Multiple tasking ability. Good time organizational skills to manage project prioritiesEnthusiasm in work with good self-learning abilityGood tech skills; database tools/SQL

Additional requirements

Participation in agile development working model.CFA certificationExperience in working on Platforms/Area such as Securities Lending, Market Reference, Trade Settlements, Post trade functions

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
