Business System Analyst

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, software engineering, or IT related field from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of work experience in IT field Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with managing projects, vendors, and teams. Experience with project management tools and techniques. Experience in Robots Process automation cognitive platforms is a plus. Demonstrated customer focus, interpersonal and relationship management. Experience with MS Office, Excel

 

Salary range: $90-$110k/year approximation (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

Howmet is currently in search of a Business System Analyst to join our Global Information Systems (GIS) Resource Unit at the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA.  This position will report into Corporate Applications area and be part of a strong team that actively designs, builds, and maintains our innovative solutions that address Howmet Aerospace business and customer needs. The Business System Analyst will blend both technical and functional knowledge of business processes to aide in the discovery, design, delivery, and support of multiple solutions across different business functions and technologies. 

 

Major Activities/Key Challenges:

Collaborate and manage with an offshore support organization for enhancements and support work, service desk and vendor management.   Monitor, assess and lead remediation efforts as part of the Corporate Vulnerability management program for the respective application spaces. Works as part of a geographically dispersed team supporting a variety of technologies. Possess a thorough understanding of the business purpose and processes in area of responsibility and participates in the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Leads small to medium-scale projects following the GIS Project management methodology and Organizational Change management model. Balance multiple assignments and manage against scope, resource, timelines requirements, while tracking risks and issues  Strong Problem solving and consulting skills. Effective problem description, root cause analysis, and ability to present short- and long-term options. Manage workload assignments and priorities, facilitate team discussion and request priorities, direct others in supporting and enhancing existing system and technology. Leads teams to solve problems and implement solutions without direct supervision. Provide timely, accurate, and required documentation as needed. Work to continuously improve relationships with customers and business partners including the collaboration to resolve support issues and deliver enhancement requests. Monitor/complete development requests from internal customers and resolve issues quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines and accelerated customer priorities. Provide/coordinate support in system upgrades, preventive maintenance, deployments on the systems/technologies.
