The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Business Systems Analyst (BSA) III supports technology tools and business processes. The BSA analyzes and documents workflows, works with the business partners to optimize processes and tool configuration, translates business processes into technical requirements and organizes testing of new tools and functionalities. The BSA evaluates and creates specifications for reporting. The BSA investigates and resolves issues working with an application administrator when needed.The BSA III proactively identifies inefficiencies and provides recommendations for improvement. The BSA supports several major tools or business areas along with the ancillary tools. The BSA communicates clearly and develops presentation materials. The BSA stays abreast of evolving technology relevant their support area and makes recommendations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements Gathering: Identify business needs; Document needs and confirm with business partner; Develop formal functional and detailed technical specifications for basic to moderately complex projects.
In collaboration with application administrator, determine need for enhanced functionality in current tool or tool replacement/upgrade required; Develop and recommend procedural improvements, where applicable.
In collaboration with the Procurement team, develop RFPs for minor tool acquisitions.
Help drive RFP development for major tools acquisitions.
Stay abreast of relevant evolving technologies and make recommendations where appropriate
Understanding and specifying user experience and user accessibility requirements for all potential users
Testing: Develop test scripts and testing plans; Assist business partners in end user acceptance testing; Monitor and report testing progress; Document exceptions and submit to application administrators; Assist business partners verify testing results.
Reporting: Collaborate with business partners to identify reporting needs; Create report specifications for application administrators/developers to build; Develop basic and moderately complex reports
Project Management: Track, schedule and prioritize user requests; Manage minor & moderately complex projects, when needed; Identify requests that require a Project Manager; Manage timelines, testing and issues for deliverables.
Documentation: Develop and keep current standard operating procedures; Collaborate with application administrators on change management
Application Support: Review and evaluate incidents; Determine root cause, whether user training requirement or system malfunction; Engage application administrator as needed for resolution; Keep business partner informed of status.

Project Management: Working knowledge of multiple SDLCs (Waterfall, prototyping, iterative, Agile, etc.); Cear grasp of basic concepts of project management.
Technology Skills: Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications, and a flow-charting tool (Visio, Word, etc.); Working knowledge of MS project or other project management tool. sensitive issues

EXPERIENCE
Requirements
Seven years of experience as business systems analyst in a technology environment utilizing software design processes and methodologies.
Three years of experience with system analysis principles, methods, procedures, practices, and tools.
Three years of project management experience.
Preferences
Five years of experience supporting web platforms and technologies, Finance, Legal, or Human Resources applications and technologies, or Salesforce and Business Intelligence applications and technologies.
Three years of experience with SQL queries and SQL Reporting Services.
Five years of experience with testing, documenting test cases, and data mapping.
EDUCATION
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in business systems, computing, metrics, or related field.

For Colorado Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $79,027 - $98,784 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
For San Diego, California and Tacoma, Washingto Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $86,553 - $108,192 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
For Washington, D.C. Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $90,316 - $112,896 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $94,080 - $117,600 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
