Business Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY\n

This position is responsible for the reporting of operational data with business intelligence tools. The Business Systems Analyst will also serve as a primary point of contact for Reporting Systems. This position will play a role in the effort to standardize reporting across VTech Electronics NA, LeapFrog and other global VTech operations. \n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nProject management of new business application system implementations (ERP, Custom Business Applications, Datawarehouse\/Reporting, etc.) where the project team will often be cross-functional and\/or cross-regional (Hong Kong & US)\n\n\nTroubleshoot and analyze business application issues for issues related to the ERP, custom business applications and Business Intelligence Tools)\nGather, analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, detailed designs of functionality and technical designs\nDevelop test plans, test scripts and coordinate functional and user acceptance testing by executing the testing strategy, scheduling resources and tracking test performance.\nMaintain the data integrity and operation of analytical and reporting systems\nHelp support Oracle ERP Systems\nDevelop and support reports based on MicroStrategy and similar tools\nCollaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner\nExercise sound business judgment\nWork independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively in order to meet changing deadlines and priorities\nTreat all employees, guests and customers and others affiliated with our business with respect\nConform and abide by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and VTech's Rules of Engagement \nConform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment\n\n\nOther duties as needed or required\n\n

POSITION SKILLS\n\nProficiency with multiple Business Analysis and Reporting systems\n\n\nFunctional knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (Oracle EBS preferred)\nAbility to read and interpret procedural and scripting development languages\nAbility to read code in SQL (PL\/SQL preferred). Experience writing and developing code is a plus \nExperience with leading IT projects and strong understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE & PMP etc.)\n\n\nBusiness Intelligence and Data Warehousing experience \nExperience with MicroStrategy reporting preferred\nDemonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility\nExperience establishing and developing productive working relationships with business leadership teams, IT leadership and various levels of staff\nSolid analytical, problem identification and resolution skills\nProven ability to build consensus and obtain alignment between IT and business leadership\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred. \n\n

EXPERIENCE\/EDUCATION\n\n5 years of progressively responsible experience in the area of data analytics \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks\nMaster's degree is desirable\n\n

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY\n

This position has no management\/supervisory responsibilities.\n

POSITION TYPE\/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK\n

This hybrid-eligible role is based in Arlington Heights, IL. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Core hours will be set between employee and manager and will be based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. \n

TRAVEL\n

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected 10% of the time.\n
