Position Summary:
Works in the Information Technology department for the Supplemental Health division of TMHCC Stop Loss. This position will assist in analyzing and documenting current systems functions and recommend improvements to existing applications or interfaces for Supplemental Health healthcare payer division of TMHCC Stop Loss. Works with the technical team to implement and test changes and supports users on existing information systems. The analyst also assesses existing and proposed business processes and potential challenges and recommends solutions that enable the organization to improve quality, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve company goals
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business needs into applicable system requirements and guide the process from requirements gathering to documentation, testing input, and implementation.Assess change requests and define comprehensive solutions to help business units and the organization achieve short and long-term business goals.Facilitate and develop comprehensive, automated solutions by engaging business units in the research, requirements development, and decision-making processes.Gather questions from the developers and gain clarification from stakeholders.Consult with business leaders to identify operating procedures and determine organizational opportunities for process improvement.Guide the stakeholder toward the final set of requirements.Identify, analyze, and improve upon existing business processes within the organization to optimize operational efficiencies and productivity and establish new standards.Meet with project managers and project teams regularly to provide input, review project deliverables, and maintain deadlines.Engage business units in collaborative conversations to access and determine solutions, initiatives, and best practices.Create cross-business and cross-IT strategies to drive component-based system design for effective usability.Develop application simulations based on business user requirements demonstrating system updates and enhancements.Remain abreast of existing technology platforms and emerging technologies to determine potential outcomes.Communicate needs and business requirements with SQL developers.Use formal written communication methods to provide session notes, informational updates, and system enhancements.Robust Healthcare IT systems implementation experience. The role requires experience in healthcare payer systems and operations, including claims.Experience working with clearinghouses, healthcare payer portals, and payment systems.\Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulationsCoordinate and meet with clearinghouse, portal, payment processing, and benefit administration solution vendors.Work with X12 834 and 837 EDI file formats and processing of these files.Education, Experience & Knowledge:
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience2 Years Relevant and progressive professional experience in system analysis, process improvement, business requirements analysis, and documentation.Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization software)Evaluating existing member eligibility, claims, and premium billing processes, and identifying opportunities for system enhancements to optimize these workflows. Gather requirements from these departments.Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Agile, Power BI, or SQL, is preferred.Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and proceduresSolid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacyAdvanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyKnowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environmentHybrid role in our Kennesaw, GA office 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week.Tokio Marine offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
