Responsibilities About The Role: The Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for providing analysis and second-tier support for the business areas assigned to them. The position involves, but is not limited to, the analysis, design and estimation of small to medium-scale projects, product support and coordination with team members on project development. This position will be involved throughout the software development life-cycle and will provide both technical and functional support to the end-users and will have a solid understanding of the business processes and how those processes relate to the associated business applications. The BSA II will also be involved in moderate coordination with other departments, business partners and outside vendors. Gather customer business requirements, functional specifications, and documentation to provide innovative business solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements Provide applications second-tier support for systems issue resolution Provide business software implementation and administration set-up and configuration Provide coordination of software interfaces between supported business applications with program development teams Conduct Quality Assurance and system testing, assist with systems implementations and the evaluation of the results Provide business rules and process interpretation and documentation for assigned applications and systems Work closely with and communicate with management and business partners on business systems, project status and facilitating project completion Perform project planning, coordination and management on multiple projects Interface with software vendors and suppliers in support of business application software packages Design and create production and ad hoc reports This position involves moderate coordination with other departments, business partners and outside vendors in order to provide customer support The position must also accurately elicit requirements and request from the business and or vendor This position must maintain compliance with all SOX security and operational standards Perform other duties as assigned Conform with all company policies and procedures Qualifications What Makes You A Dream Candidate? Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions Successfully implement projects and upgrades that will transition to production support Accurately and throughly document test results when testing is required Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations Knowledge of systems analysis techniques Working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups Working knowledge of the consumer loan business Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institution Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives Deadline oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent computer skills and conversance in information technology issues Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision Ability to write intermediate SQL queries and to understand technical specifications to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and a moderate workload Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred of experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing applications systems required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
