Here's how a Business Technology Support - Field IT Technician for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities Resolves user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases. Actively seeks out issues, problems, and opportunities, and creates solutions. District jobsite setup and turndown, including remote support. Creates and delivers technical training and other knowledge resources. Administers and monitors district office and construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation, and responds to issues. Accurate and timely logging of problems, and resolutions to problems, in problem-management database. Proactively assists other team members with technical issues. Solicits feedback from operational project teams to identify innovations, challenges, and issues. Provides implementation support on corporate and regional initiatives. Position involves up to 25% travel within the U.S. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree, post-secondary degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. Intermediate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work and delegate simple tasks. Results-oriented and able to drive deadlines. Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.
