What We’re Looking For

As the Business Technology Systems Specialist in the Corporate Systems Division, you will work closely with the greater operations team to support and manage both local and corporate systems while reviewing processes to ensure efficient use of resources while fostering a positive relationship with all business lines.

To be successful in this position, you will be an outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will calmly juggle multiple priorities with ease, making sure to consider the finer details of each one.  You thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing landscape and enjoy figuring out new technology and developing efficient processes. 

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Requirements

Minimum five years insurance industry experienceExperience in a variety of insurance roles such as Team Assistant and Insurance AdvisorExcellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills (analyze, diagnose, resolve)Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under timeline pressureExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Intermediate level of computer knowledgeAdvanced MS Word and ExcelCAIB, CIP or FCIP designations preferred

A Day in the Life

Support local employees, management and the finance division with business technology and systems, such as:EPICPolicy Works                        CSR24/Certificate ExchangeIndioCreating and managing local workflows, process and their guidesTesting lead for software installations and releasesEstablish Audit ProcessBusiness Systems Champion coordinationBusiness support on Invoicing and Accounting mattersAd-hoc project leadership, support as needed and requestedOther duties & responsibilities as required

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
