Business Transformation Project Manager II

One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Business Transformation Project Manager to work on a long-term assignment in their facilities in Chicago, IL.

The Business Transformation Project Management contractor will support high-priority, high-visibility transformation initiatives for the Mobility & Convenience (M&C) Americas business. Reporting to the Head of Change & Project Management, this role focuses on facilitating smooth implementation and integration across US Convenience & Mobility, US Fleet Mobility, and Retail Business Support verticals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute project plans aligned with organizational goals. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Process Mapping & Assessment: Gather process and technical requirements for complex transformation initiatives. Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions for process redesign and operational enhancement. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and changes to ensure alignment and buy-in. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues proactively. Implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery while minimizing disruptions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all project dependencies, milestones, and deliverables are met in accordance with the project timeline and scope. Performance Monitoring: Track project performance against established metrics. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management. Analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: 5+ years in project management, program management, or business analysis, preferably in a complex organizational environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

PMP or other relevant project management certification. Change management certification (e.g., ProsciĀ®, CCMP). Skills & Competencies: Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Experience managing operational, program, and/or project financial budgets. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project). Knowledge of fuels marketing, sales operations, or retail convenience is a plus.
