Overview JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking a results-driven individual to solicit and manage accounts that provide individual transient business, ensuring revenue maximization and surpassing established revenue goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivate and manage relationships with both existing and new accounts to achieve guest satisfaction while meeting or exceeding revenue goals for 2 hotels in S. California. Create and execute Quarterly Action Plans for each hotel. Actively solicit and nurture new business travel sales accounts, entertain prospects, and maintain connections with key accounts. Also, cross sell the 2 hotels in S. California portfolio. Execute strategic prospecting efforts, including phone outreach, weekly outside sales calls, weekly site inspections, and use written communications to drive business. Drive revenue growth by aggressively soliciting business, delivering persuasive presentations, negotiating contracts, and successfully closing sales. Promote all aspects of the hotel to current, past, and potential clients, utilizing verbal and written communication. Oversee account details to ensure a seamless and documented solicitation and closing process while coordinating efforts with relevant departments to deliver exceptional service. Conduct compelling verbal sales presentations tailored to prospective clients. Utilize Visit Newport Beach and Destination LA for sales assistance and rapport building. Help co-create marketing initiatives for sales use. Prepare and deliver information for client meetings and entertainment opportunities to strengthen relationships and encourage repeat business. Communicate effectively with internal operations teams to ensure all departments deliver the highest quality service to customers. Draft correspondence, maintain client files, and update internal booking reports. Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention briefings, training, and other relevant sales-related discussions. Represent the hotel at community events, and industry gatherings to expand business opportunities. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and key accounts to maintain a competitive edge. Adhere to attendance policies and demonstrate flexibility to meet operational needs. Already have knowledge of industry tools such as Demand 360, Knowland, Co-Star, etc. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications Experience, Skills and Knowledge High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of past sales experience preferred. Must have experience at a similar size and quality hotel. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and ISAAC products. Advanced knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers. Advanced knowledge of hotel and competitive market. Ability to execute appropriate action plans. Desire to participate as part of a team. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning. Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals. Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate. Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. Command of the English language both written and verbal. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $85,000.00/Yr. - $95,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
