Business Unit Controller

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Controller to join our team. In this role, you will support our strategic goals by partnering with operational businesses to make impactful decisions. You will ensure an efficient and controlled financial environment that adheres to Saint-Gobain Corporate procedures and policies. This position involves key interactions and collaboration with our Paris, North American, and Shared Service Center functions.

Key responsibilities include:
+ Institute and maintain an adequate system of financial record-keeping and internal accounting control.
+ Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team and other stakeholders to provide strategic finance advice and support critical strategic decisions.
+ Align the finance department’s priorities and activities with the strategic goals of the company.
+ Coordinate the month-end close process and consolidation of financials for SG ADFORS North America.
+ Review the accuracy of financial statements provided by the Shared Services Center.
+ Provide post-month-end financial reporting and detailed analytical business insights.
+ Coordinate the company’s RF & budgeting calendar and implement strategic objectives within the financials.
+ Ensure a robust SAP standard costing framework and provide insights to relevant stakeholders.
+ Project management of Board Intelligence Management and it’s rollout across SG ADFORS North America.
+ Manage day-to-day operational needs of the department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, and payroll processes.
+ Engage in key Capex decisions and support the decision-making process through business insights and payback calculations.
+ Provide financial insights on pricing decisions considering all commercial and costing factors.
+ Act as SAP FI Super User for all BU-related activities.
+ Collaborate and coordinate with audit-related activities.
+ Manage and develop a finance team using TEC (Trust, Empowerment, & Collaboration) principles and implement development and succession plans.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of work-related skill and experience in Accounting and/or Finance is required, experience in a manufacturing organization is desirable. SAP system knowledge is required for this position as well as product cost modeling experience. Varied experience in financial, operations, systems, and cost management, as well as supervisory experience at a professional level is very desirable. Knowledge of International Accounting Standards is also a plus. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license for business travel up to 25% of the time.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $111,000 to $177,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $127,600-TTC to $203,500-TTC. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
