The Business Unit Manager will be primarily responsible for the strategic development, growth and overall operational performance of Dewberry in New York, one of the enterprise’s most important geographic markets. Priority will be on building capacity and talent and growing the client base in market segments and service lines: Transportation, Water/Wastewater, Community Facilities, Education, Energy and Building Systems. The NY Business Unit Manager will also have increasing responsibilities within the leadership of Dewberry’s Northeast Region.
The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer with a diverse design background and evidence of strong advancement in management responsibilities. The candidate will have clearly demonstrated expertise and success in leading and motivating sizeable multi-disciplinary teams, developing and executing client and business development strategies that drive revenue and profit margin growth, and collaborating well with internal and external partners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, deploying Dewberry's deep national skillsets and experience to effectively preposition for those opportunities to grow our local practice. Must have at least 20 years of experience with New York State and City Agencies. The candidate will be primarily responsible for collaborating with our current companywide market segment leadership as well as regional offices to generate an inflow of new projects, while developing and maintaining close professional relationships with client personnel.

Salary RangeThe projected range for this position is $260,000-$350,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
