**Job Description**
ITW Air Management located in Cincinnati, OH, and ITW Pillar Technology, located in Hartland, WI are seeking a Business Unit Manager responsible for ~$30MM per year who will be responsible for setting vision and direction enabling the Division to achieve strategic business objectives using the ITW 80/20 Business Model. The Business Unit Manager makes decisions concerning strategic initiatives through a demonstrated ability to use broad-based business information and knowledge. The Business Unit Manager ensures all activities related to Pillar and Air Management are coordinated, effective, and secure through proper oversight and guidance. This role is to provide the streamlined operation of Air Management and Pillars in alignment with the organization's business objectives. The candidate must be a driven, self-starter with excellent leadership and project management skills to ensure consistency with corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines provided with all ITW corporate assets.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Utilize the ITW front-to-back process to establish a long-term vision for the business.
+ Drive sustainable organic growth via innovation using the ITW Customer Back Innovation process.
+ Challenge and collaborate with the divisional leadership team and cross-functionally with insightful analysis of the business, contributing ideas to drive improvement through the business.
+ Champions the ITW Business Model and uses company business processes and tools and sound judgment to analyze processes, and identify and act on areas to reduce risk, complexity, and/or cost savings.
+ Develop and deliver a global strategy to meet Growth and Profitability Targets.
+ The position is responsible for identifying improvement areas of the business and aids in the analysis and resolution of day-to-day problems. Conceives prioritises, and delivers improvement opportunities in all areas.
+ Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual performance against clearly defined accountable competencies, responsibilities, and objectives. Lead the management team to success and ensure decision-making is balanced and reflects the best interests of the company.
+ Establish functional objectives and standards of performance.
+ Participate in the Annual Planning Process and contribute to long-range strategic and financial plans.
+ Provide strong commercial leadership, and act as a figurehead when dealing with customers on large or complicated projects.
+ Review regular and special reports to determine the status of performance relative to sales, costs, budget administration, and payables to drive growth and profitability, and to initiate appropriate corrective action when necessary.
+ Apply 80/20 and all other ”ITW Tool Box” initiatives to the business and lead the team to stay focused on top priorities.
+ Coach and develop talent within the business unit, focusing on attracting and retaining the best talent available.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 10+ years in a Manufacturing Environment
+ Previous leadership experience managing direct reports
+ Hands-on, results-driven approach to achieving success
+ Experience in managing a multifunction organization, ideally including Sales, Service, Manufacturing, and Finance
+ Ability to set a vision and lead a team
+ Ability to identify long-term market needs; translate needs into growth strategies
+ Has strong financial acumen, knows financial levers, and drives functions to effectively contribute to the division’s results
+ Understanding about 80/20 concepts and the implications on how the business should operate
+ Ability to work well under pressure and the resilience to deal with setbacks
+ Ability to develop talent
+ Uses personal influence rather than position power to get things done
+ Proven track record in managing remote teams, and working with them to achieve results
