Business Unit Manager


As the Business Unit Manager in Arrow, you will take the lead on the sales team. You will exercise your role within Italy.

Within this position, you will be mainly responsible for your team, but your role will involve also a continuous relationship development between the business area, Arrow’s customers, regional teams and the vendors from the IT area – all to ensure a trust and support of business objectives.


What will you be doing at Arrow ECS? 

Team Management: managing the sales efforts of your team and providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company's vision.Representing the team internally and externally; ensuring the Cloud department is exceeding expectations from both a vendor ad customer perspective.Managing the workforce by making decisions on workload and setting priorities for the teamConsistently recommending operational improvements, contributing to strategic objectives and managing team effectiveness.Managing the strategic and sales objectives for the sales teams and creating tactical solutions to meet/exceed objectives.Going on field sales account calls/ visits and supplier reviews to provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth.Managing manager’s and employee’s development, recruiting, hiring and training; managing performance reviews, salary administration, daily coaching and feedback, goal setting, development planning and performance management.Progressively and proactively managing development and performance issues. Delivering a high performing team.Sales: Directing strategy that motivates sales teams to reach sales goals and deliver results.Maintaining senior level relationships with customers, suppliers and Arrow corporate. Taking on assigned projects and driving corporate initiatives.Through data analysis and experience, making solid decisions on strategy and direction.Directing value added sales opportunities by implementing supply chain, engineering, supplier, or service excellence strategies. Identifying and helping to obtain branch goals.Increasing management presence at customer accounts to achieve access to all levels of decision makers.Implementing effective and practiced techniques for solving problems.Effectively communicating with all levels of senior level contacts at customers, suppliers and Arrow corporate.

What we are looking for:

You have the expertise in development of new customers, and excellent communication skills; the team management experience is a must to be successful on this roleAt least 8 years of professional experience in New Business Development/Account Management within the IT distribution/IT vendors’ sectorAt least a few years of experience in managing a Sales TeamGreat understanding of the IT sector and the local market (Italy), with the well-established network.Self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approachFluency in Italian and English is a must to be successful in this recruitmentA true Arrow Ambassador with a wider vison then only Cloud.Ability to travel up to 30%
