Your Role:

As a Business Unit Portfolio Manager within the Life Science Information Technology team, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing, global, and strategic IT projects in support of the Life Science Integrated Supply Chain Operations organization. The projects in scope are typically of a complex nature and will involve several international stakeholders within different functions and levels. Additionally, you will contribute to the execution of the IT strategy and support the development of strategic initiatives. Key qualifications for this position are a proven track record of successful project management experience, analytical thinking, leadership, time management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and computer competencies.

 

The position is global, with a strong preference for candidates in the US and Western Europe, and can be done remotely.

 

 Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure strategic alignment of IT portfolio with BU strategyIdentify and mitigate risks associated with IT investmentsOptimize budget allocation within the various BU and function portfolios. Measure and report the IT portfolio performance.Continuously assess and improve the IT demand intake and prioritization process, leveraging data and feedback to optimize IT investment and value.Support the business teams during their IT business governance meetings to ensure all IT demand is first assessed and prioritized against business value and alignment to strategic objectives. Present the prioritized Business Demand to the Function Leads for IT prioritization. Follow up on the execution and performance of the BU project portfolio with the respective function PMs (and/or BRMs) to report on completion timelines (closure), actuals and forecasts.​Manage the IT BU portfolio to drive SD planning and quarterly forecasting rounds. Ensure adherence to the agreed SD,  report on portfolio progress, flag any constraints or issues to the functional leads.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

You have a BS degree and are PMP certifiedGxP skills and trainings requiredYou are fluent in EnglishYou have >10 years of professional Project Management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

You have significant skills and experience in project management and a history of successfully executed projects You have excellent communication skills to manage stakeholder expectationsYou can set up appropriate project teams and set realistic and challenging objectivesYou can analyze complex situations to develop solutionsYou are inclusive by nature and respectful of diversity within the organizationYou possess strong computer skills, including a strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint)
