Job Overview

The Bus person is responsible for clearing and re-setting tables. They also stock side stations and may assist with the service of food to guests.

Duties And Responsibilities

Reports to work station as scheduled in proper uniform and ready to work Completes all side-work as directed by supervisor Keeps service stations stocked with needed supplies, including clean silverware, china, glassware, ice, and condiments Keeps work area neat, clean and free of safety hazards Greets guests in a friendly and professional manner Serves water to all guests Pre-busses all tables, and takes all used dishes to the dish room Effectively utilizes a 27” oval tray in the service of food or the clearing of tables Replaces silverware and other service items as needed by the guest Clears all tables after guests leave Re-sets tables Assists food servers as needed, using specified serving procedures to ensure food items are delivered to guests in a timely manner Gets approval for and submits stock requisitions Ensures stock areas and service stations and corridors are kept in a clean and orderly fashion Sweeps and/or mops floors, and prepares dirty linens and trash for pick up by the EVS Department Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to deal effectively with diverse departments and have flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats Willing to work odd and irregular hours Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and BASSET training Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
