Butcher

SUMMARY 

The Butcher is responsible for performing daily tasks that align with the department’s long term goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform designated opening and closing duties of the butcher shopKeep walk-ins clean and organizedReceive products, proper storage and rotation of all productsMaintain a clean work area in the butcher shop and all other operating areas of kitchensPrep, prepare, and execute all menu items to specification of the ChefFollow all sanitation principles and procedures.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Culinary Arts preferredTwo years’ experience in Culinary in a Luxury ResortOne Year experience as a butcher

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant standing and walking throughout shift. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
