Your Challenge:

Purchase and maintain proper inventory levels of all raw materials and finished goods.

Perform JIT (just in time) purchasing.

Maintain and manage vendor setups and contracts.

Review and assist staff and senior buyers with safety stock levels.

Negotiate vendor pricing and terms.

Manage vendor relationships and address minor issues as they arise.

Monitor and report on vendor performance to ensure compliance with company standards.

Provide accurate and timely quotes for the sales team, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.

Perform other related duties or functions as assigned.

What You Bring:

1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain.

Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain), preferred.

Possess extensive knowledge and experience in the fastener industry, specifically within commercial, safety related, military, and nuclear sectors.

Experience in metal/steel industry.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Presents positive solutions to organizational challenges.

Knowledge of material management functions which includes procurement planning and processes.

Proven negotiation skills.

MS Office experience required.

Experience in Oracle or other ERP/MRP system preferred.

Display an understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance to health and safety procedures..
