Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring a Buyer for Footwear for our Kid's Foot Locker banner. Our Buying role is about taking calculated risks that create a buzz in the marketplace and supplying the products our consumers will love. This position maintains great vendor relationships, researches the market landscape, is innovative, and negotiates the best opportunities. You will work closely with our Planning, Allocation, Marketing, and Store Optimization teams while always keeping our target demographic in mind to provide compelling assortments that turn our customers' heads.

Responsibilities Work in conjunction with vendors and product development to establish a line of products that meets the needs of our customers, while maximizing sales, profit, and gross marginAnalyze sales reports and market trends to establish a pattern of projected salesWork with the Allocation team to ensure proper distribution and allocation of productWork with the Sr. Director to plan line review studies and reports to build a product line for a given seasonPrepare all reports for all budget and sales meetingsField travel to keep track of trends within the marketplaceVendor travel for prelines and product previewsWork with the Logistics department and Buyers from other divisions to coordinate product deliveryEffectively partner with Planning and Merchandising teams to develop financial plans for future seasonsManage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while remaining flexible to change prioritiesEffectively interface with Senior Executives and make recommendationsCreatively negotiate the best terms to maximize sales and profitsUnderstand product, customers, and market & fashion trendsTravel expectations will be 1-2 times a quarter depending on brand responsibilities Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years’ experience in retail and e-commerce buying processes and product life cycles requiredExperience with fashion retial is preferredExperience with the Footwear category is helpfulProficiency in software applications: Excel, Access, Word and PowerPointKnowledge of Power BI or similar systems preferredKnowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft or similar assortment tools preferredStrong retail math and analytical skillsKnowledge of retail buying process and product life cyclesDemonstrates understanding of our product, customer, and fashion trendsCreative thinkingRelationship buildingCollaboration with team and cross-functional teamsAbility to communicate clearly with peers and upper managementStrong ability to be oriented and organized

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $95000 - $105000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
