Volt is immediately hiring a Logistics Business Operation/ Inbound Freight Forwarding Expert in Santa Ana, CA.

\r\n\r\n

As a Logistics Business Operation/ Inbound Freight Forwarding Expert you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSet up and hire employees to execute Freight forwarding services.\r\n\tManage all the tasks related to freight forwarding (include but not limited to ocean shipping freight forwarding) including tracking, drayage management, settlement, and communication with customers, carriers, SSLs, customs house brokers, and report upper management NA President, CFO, and HQ\r\n\tManage the cargo requested by the customer to accurately transport it through the best means at a designated place and time in abroad (mainly China, Korea, East Asia) using sea, air, inland transportation, express, and distribution centers.\r\n\tNegotiate and dispute with SSLs, drayage companies, rail companies, and customers per operational issues, payment subjects (especially demurrage, detention), securing available capacities.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t8+ years of Freight Forwarding operation or transportation/ logistics related relevant experience.\r\n\tStrong understanding of international transportation (especially ocean shipping)/ freight forwarding industry.\r\n\tBachelor’s degree required in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.\r\n\tBilingual in English and Korean (Excellent Korean written and verbal communication skills required)\r\n\tExperience with International Shipping Logistics Cost Analysis, understanding the contents of logistics costs incurred in international air/sea transportation, and identify trends and appropriate market price.\r\n\tExperience with route setup, finding the optimal route with various transport modes and multimodal transport and setup for transport\r\n\tExperience in leading a group of team members with effective leadership\r\n\tExperience in establishing a transport plan that can optimize loading rate, transport time and logistics cost\r\n\tExperience in establishing and managing a logistics process for each type, such as warehouse operation/local transportation and operating guidelines.\r\n\tA good attitude and ability to work in a team setting\r\n\tProficient in Outlook, MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) required (vlookups and pivot tables)\r\n\tPrioritization skill, able to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties\r\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.\r\n\tAbility to build trustworthy relationships with customers at all levels (C Level, Managers, Staff)\r\n\tAbility to travel up to 30% as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the company.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $180-220K per year plus bonus

\r\n\r\n
