As an Buyer you will:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tWork with Logistics Manager to execute delivery schedules on time\r\n\tMaintain and monitor supplier Quality and delivery metrics\r\n\tParticipate in supplier surveys and assessments\r\n\tResponsible for reducing lead time.\r\n\tResponsible for cost reduction\r\n\tWork with Quality on corrective and preventive actions at suppliers\r\n\tMust be capable of handling all purchasing activities during absences\r\n\tWork with manufacturing to develop tooling suppliers for tool life and tool cost improvements.\r\n\tNegotiate with tooling suppliers lead time reduction by forecasting usage and carrying die blanks.\r\n\tDevelop professional relationships with key suppliers\r\n\tCommunicate Quality and delivery requirements and score cards to the suppliers\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Schedule: M to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal Buyer candidate will have:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMinimum of five (5) years’ experience as a buyer in Aerospace fasteners. Knowledge Aerospace standards for raw material and DFAR requirements.\r\n\tProficient with MS Office, strong background in Excel and Access data base.\r\n\tEffective time management\r\n\tCritical thinking to identify alternate solutions to problems\r\n\tStrong ability to work under pressure\r\n\tGood organizational skills\r\n\tGood presentation skills\r\n\tStrong ability to work well with peers and managers\r\n\tStrong leadership skills\r\n\tMust be able to communicate at all levels\r\n\tGood intrapersonal skills\r\n\tAttention to detail to ensure correct type, quantity and prices are reflected on the P.O’s\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: < 30.00-40.00/hr + >
\r\n\r\n*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
